Sushi school

Me and Ness went to Yo Sushi after work for a lesson in how to make sushi. There were 15 of us and 2 Polish chefs showed us what to do. We all had our own mats and we had to wear plastic gloves. They gave us each a piece of seaweed stuff and we had to squish the special rice out on it and add the fish/vegetables. They taught us how to roll it properly. It was quite tricky and some of mine came out heart shaped rather than round! We made cucumber maki, inari mini iso, california hand roll, california iso, gunkan and a couple of other things. The different fillings we put in were cucumber, avocado, crabsticks, raw salmon, cooked salmon skin, sesame seeds, chilli powder, spring onions, lettuce, mayo, tofu, omelette. We ate some and took the rest home in boxes. It was really fun.
